A Consultant's Work Week

Setting goals and making a weekly list of them works really good. Be sure not to set them too high as you will just end up discouraging yourself. If you make them and surpass them you will feel tremendous! If you happen to miss a few, do not be hard on yourself. Just try again next week!

Grab a theme book or something like that and make it your workbook. I call mine "Brain" so I do not have to even try to remember everything. As you go through your welcome to the company emails (save them in a file!) jot down your important things:

Your URL (All of them be it one, two, three or more web sites)
Your Password (as above)
Your Sponsor's Contact Information
Her Sponsor's Contact Information

As you read through all information jot down your questions. When you get answers to the jot those down too. You are actually creating a way to train yourself and your down line! You will know before hand what they need to know :-)

On your web site make your information is correct and that your customers can get in touch with you.

Set up your payment method. Most places need a 1099 and/or your bank information or PayPal email address.

Be sure to make all the training calls that you can. They will keep you more up to date than emails or groups can as they come from the office.

Set up your fan page if you are going to have one and you really should! For one it helps you learn more about your products.

Start a contact list. Keep your "Brain" in your business tote and add to your list when ever you can!

Tell your family about your new shop! Make sure they have the URL. Tell your friends what you are doing.

Order catalogs if you do not having some come in a 'kit'.

Order business cards. Use your imagination and see if you can come up with an unusual business card! What about book marks? Moo.com has mini moos that are really unique! They are about half size and a great conversation starter! OvernightPrints has half size business cards as well. (I have a special listed for them on the To Make Your Job Easier page.) And there is always specials at VistaPrints! I sign up for all 3 news letters and seldom have to pay for business cards.

Have a goal for your first week of one sale and one recruit. Do not beat yourself up if you do not make your goal the first week! It takes time. If you are worried about getting down line before you 'know everything'... don't be. Helping someone else is another great way to learn!
